One of the key objectives of the Development Campaign
is to ensure that the fabric of the Cathedral is
secured for future generations. While the main
structure of the buliding is in a sound condition
there are a number of capital projects for which
we are seeking help from our supporters. Individuals,
Cahritable Trusts, Foundations and businesses are
all able to participate in this work. In some cases
there are considerable tax advantages in making
donations to the Cathedral, following recent changes
in taxation law.
These projects will
allow us to deliver improved services to those who
worship here, those who come to enjoy the outstanding
music or the thousands of visitors who arrive from
all over the world to marvel at the building, its
artefacts and treasures.
The Cathedral is
under the constant care of the Fabric Advisory Committee
(FAC), a professional architect and other specialist
advisers. The Dean and Chapter, members of the Executive
Committee of the Development Campaign and the FAC
will all work together to implement the work and
