The Cathedral is the Mother Church of the Diocese of Ripon and Leeds. Our vision recognises and stregthens this role for the peolple of Ripon, within our part of Yorkshire, and in the wider community as a place of Christian worship, music and education.

Educational Development
We are committed to providing an outstanding educational facility. Thorpe Prebend in High St Agnesgate on the south side of the Cathedral has been recently restored and will meet some of our educational needs.

Spritual Development
We wish to develop the Cathedral as a centre for worship and spiritual reflection. As part of this initiative we will be commemorating two aspects of local and regional life with the creation of two chapels.

Cathedral Development
The Cathedral has over the centuries commisioned new works of art of the highest quality. We have an opportunity to commision a new approach to the West End, opening up the main axis of the building to worshippers, pilgrims and visitors.
